
Here at Millcroft we treat all creatures great and small. We can cater for all your pets needs, throughout every stage of its life, from a young animal requiring help with training, to a senior pet with all the difficulties life along the way can bring.
Advice is available on every aspect of pet care e.g. nutrition, neutering, worming, treatment of fleas, prevention of diseases through vaccination, behavioural and training needs.
If your pet does become ill, we have the facilities to enable us to obtain a diagnosis as quickly as possible and so begin treatment sooner. This includes an in house laboratory with blood sampling equipment, urine testing and microscopy work.
Our x-ray equipment enables us to take and process x-rays very quickly showing up any bone fractures or internal injury etc. The dental equipment comprises of an ultra-sonic scaling machine and several specialised hand held instruments, plus a specialist polishing attachment.
Canine and feline pregnancy diagnosis is available with our ultrasound scanner, this can be done 5 weeks into the pregnancy by a veterinary surgeon, who will scan the bitch during a consultation where the owners are present to see the screen.
The blood pressure monitor enables us to take a reading of your pet's blood pressure, a high or low reading may indicate a problem with your pet's health. Our selection of endoscopes allows us to investigate disease in not only cats and dogs but also exotic animals.
When the final day of your pet's life dawns, and the terrible situation has arisen where the pet has died, or has unfortunately been put to sleep, we are able to offer a number of services to ensure that you are able to lay your pet to rest in the way that you wish.
