Our Cockermouth branch is our central hub and the base of our 24-hour emergency service, equine and farm services. 

Patients that may require hospitalisation or significant work-up are often directed to Cockermouth. 

Small animal clients can take advantage of a range of facilities and services, including:

• A quiet consult room away from our main building for nervous pets and saying goodbye to cherished companions
• Large waiting area with a separate area for cats and small furries
• Selection of prescription and non-prescription pet food
• Treats, toys and pet accessories

As well as being the base for our farm and equine teams, Cockermouth also has stabling and surgery facilities for large animals. 

• Two on-site stables with thick rubber flooring and walls, ideal for hospitalising equines and as a safe area for short surgical procedures on equine and farm patients
• Digital radiography unit
• Hygienic farm animal surgical suite used for c-sections, rumenotomies, hernia repairs, tup-testing and vasectomies
• Two calf pens with heat lamps for hospitalising calves and sheep on drips
• Large and well-equipped farm and equine pharmacy
